Caiti Hall is a Fellow at Romer-Friedman Berman Law PLLC.
Caiti is a public interest lawyer who represents workers, plaintiffs in fair housing cases, victims of all forms of discrimination, and plaintiffs in class action lawsuits.
Before joining Romer-Friedman Berman Law, Caiti clerked for the Honorable Ajmel A. Quereshi in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Caiti graduated from University of California Berkeley School of Law, where she served as co-director of the Workers’ Rights Clinic, providing free legal advice to low-income workers in California. She also represented tenants in eviction proceedings as a student-attorney in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Housing Clinic. She earned awards for her litigation skills, including the Writing and Oral Advocacy Best Brief Award and the Pretrial Civil Written Discovery Jurisprudence Award.
During law school, Caiti externed with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division Housing and Civil Enforcement Section, where she worked on fair housing litigation. She also interned with Outten & Golden LLP, a plaintiff-side employment and civil rights firm, where she worked on workers’ rights cases, and the California Appellate Project, where she reviewed cases of unrepresented people on California’s death row for wrongful conviction.
Before attending law school, Caiti worked at Disability Law United where she investigated cases of systemic disability discrimination and worked to make the built environment, public accommodations, and government institutions more accessible. She also worked in the Wing Luke Civil Rights Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office where she supported litigation protecting the civil rights of Washingtonians, including a lawsuit that successfully challenged a private prison company’s practice of paying immigrant detainees a dollar a day for their labor in the company’s for-profit detention center. The Washington State Attorney General awarded Caiti the Mariam Graham Award for “exceptional performance exemplifying a commitment to public service and innovative leadership.”
While at the Washington AG’s Office, Caiti helped organize the first statewide union for the agency’s professional staff and was elected the first president of the newly formed union, representing over 500 professional staff. She received the Gerald W. McEntee Scholarship awarded by AFSCME for “exemplifying commitment to organizing and building power for working families.”
Caiti received her B.A. in Political Science and Global Development Studies from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar.
